BS 215 standard-ACSR
ACSR (aluminum steel core stranded conductor) products produced by Shenxing Cable Group are manufactured strictly in accordance with the **British National Standard BS 215 Part 2 (BS 215-2)**. This type of product is widely used in high-voltage transmission and distribution systems in the UK and Commonwealth countries.
In the UK market, ACSR conductors are often named after animals (such as FOX, RABBIT, DOG, ZEBRA, etc.), which is a conventional naming method in the power industry. Shenxing Cable's ACSR conductors fully match these naming rules, making it easier for British customers to find, select and purchase.

COMMON QUESTIONS
SHENXING Cable Service FAQs
Want to learn more? Check out our electrical cable most frequently asked questions.
What is the shielding performance of this cable?
Marine data cables adopt a double-layer shielding structure (S/FTP), including aluminum foil shielding and tinned copper braided shielding, which has excellent anti-electromagnetic interference ability and ensures signal stability and clarity.
What data transmission standards do marine data cables support?
Depending on the model, it can support Cat 5E, Cat 6A and Cat 7 standards, providing high-speed Ethernet data transmission with a maximum bandwidth of up to 10 Gbps.
What data transmission applications are marine data cables suitable for?
Marine data cables are suitable for scenarios that require efficient data transmission, such as ship navigation systems, communication networks, automated control systems, video surveillance, and ship-to-shore communications.
What is the difference between marine data cables and ordinary data cables?
Marine data cables are designed for offshore applications and have corrosion resistance, flame retardancy, anti-interference and low smoke zero halogen (LSZH) characteristics. They can work for a long time in harsh environments such as humidity and salt spray, while ordinary data cables do not have these characteristics.
What is the flame retardant performance of marine flexible cables?
The cable complies with the flame retardant standards of IEC 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-3, which can effectively prevent the spread of flames and buy time for personnel evacuation and fire extinguishing in the event of a fire.
How low a temperature can marine flexible cables withstand?
Marine flexible cables can usually operate normally within an operating temperature range of -40°C to +90°C, and some specially designed cables can withstand more extreme temperature conditions.
What material is the conductor of marine flexible cable made of?
The conductor is generally made of high-purity annealed tinned copper or bare copper to ensure excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance.
What scenarios are marine flexible cables suitable for?
They are mainly used for ship power systems, lighting systems, communication and navigation equipment, drag chain systems, deck equipment connections, and power and signal transmission in offshore platforms that require frequent movement or special environments.
